Mechanical Puller

May 7, 2011 2 comments

Pulling process is the lifeline for any industry.  Machines in various industries like textile, printing, machine tools, automobile industries and excavators are to be pulled in order to reduce the man powered humming process created between Rotating parts.  If machines Parts are not properly pulled in industries they are seized thus incurring heavy losses.  The bearings may wear out easily due to improper Pulling process and thus reduce the efficiency of works.

In the early years of industrial revolution pulling of tools was anything but systematic.  But as more and more sophisticated machinery were developed a whole range of pullers were delivered to the heavy works in the quantities and at speeds appropriate to the situation.

Detachable bearing pullers provide an efficient means for the removal of gears, bearings, wheels, pulleys and other press fit parts.  Screw and nut methods controlled means of applying force without the need for hammering, heating.

Internal Grinding in Lathe

May 7, 2011 Leave a comment

DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF INTERNAL GRINDING ATTACHMENT IN LATHE BY USING ELECTRICAL MOTOR is made up of mild steel material.  The base of machine is holed centrally and it is attached with compound rest of lathe.  The motor is engaged with base plate.  The whole construction of machine is placed on the base plate.  The base plate is drilled centrally, and attached with the compound rest of lathe.

The grinding tool is screwed to the main spindle which is driven through the V belt drive transmission from the motor.  This motor with the belt drive mechanism is mounted in base plate.

The job to be ground is fixed in the lathe chuck.  The chuck will be rotated at the front side.  The swivel base is fixed over the tool post.  The feed is given by carriage at the same time the depth of cut is given by swivel base by moving the cross slide.

The stone is fixed in the spindle and rotated by motor.  The saddle is moved from the metal removing operation in the job

Automatic Cooling System

May 7, 2011 Leave a comment

The project is to introduce automatic cooling unit instead of manual cooling process through design and fabricating the reservoir of the unit. Automatic cooling unit is a system typically delivers a controlled amount of coolant to specific locations on a machine while the machine is operating, at specific times from a central location. when the temperature at the work piece is increased above the reference temperature, the automatic coolant unit will activate and automatically pumps coolant and will reduce the temperature.

The temperature sensor or thermistor is placed near to the tool or work piece, as a result the thermistor senses the temperature from the tool -work piece interface and sends an electrical signal to the amplifier. The electrical signal is amplified by using amplifier, then this signal is send to the comparator then the comparator compares both input and reference signal. If the input signal is greater than the reference signal then the relay gets activated automatically to control the temperature to a certain level. So the coolant is pumped from the reservoir to the tool- work piece interface. Similarly when the temperature decreases below the reference value the control unit deactivates the pump by using the relay. The process will continue according to the increase and decrease of the temperature.

Wake On Lan

May 7, 2011 Leave a comment

The problem is to find a way to turn on other machines in a local area network. The Solution is known as Wake On LAN. Wake On Lan a.k.a WOL is a mechanism with which a network Interface Card (NIC) could turn a machine on by receiving a special packet (MAGIC PACKET) through the LAN.

The packet is sent by a simple program executed on another computer on the same local area network. Wake-on-LAN is also known as Wake on LAN, WOL, or sometimes WoL. It may also be known as Remote Wake-Up or RWU.

If the network socket even after being shutdown, shows a green light, it probably supports Wake-on-LAN. The motherboard uses a small amount of power to monitor network traffic and look for special Wake-on-LAN packets. If it sees one, it will power up the system as if it has been switched on from the power button.

Sprocket side-stand retrieve System

In modern developing world, automobile plays important role especially stwo-wheeler i.e (motorcycles& bikes) plays a major role. Even though they are helpful there are some sad events like accidents due to careless of rider. Major accidents occur due to forgetting of lifting side stand. To rectify this problem many advance measure have taken, but they are useless. so, by considering that it should be implemented practically in all types bikes .the new system “SPROCKET SIDE-STAND RETRIEVE SYSTEM” is designed based on  the working principle of bikes. Since all bike transmit power from engine to rear wheel by means of chain drive. Since designed setup is kept in between chain drive, setup rotates and side stand get retrieves automatically.
